초록
This study aimed to investigate the changes in facial width according ostectomy level of proximal segment after orthognathic surgery using intraoral vertical ramus osteotomy (IVRO) patients with mandibular prognathism. The participants included 32 individuals who were diagnosed class III malocclusion prior surgery. All underwent either version IVRO. The categorized into two groups depending on type bone-segment technique used: whose height was at tooth occlusal surface (the surface-level group) and inferior border border-level group). distances between soft tissue sigmoid notch, foramen, alveolar bone anterior-posterior location condyle, coronoid process compared groups. data identify differences preoperative postoperative measurements. The change intersection coronal plane horizontal group differed significantly from that border, respective increases (mean ± SD) 1.3 3.5% 4.7 5.6%, measurements (p = 0.050).Proximal must be considered regard osteotomy. Additionally, it is necessary visual effect mandible appearing small because posterior position mandible, even when maintained.
