Evaluation of Current Resources Available for Community-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation in Korea: A Nationwide Survey Study

Abstract

In Korea, the actual distribution of cardiac rehabilitation (CR) to clinical field is insufficient due many barriers for cardiovascular patients participate in CR. Community-based CR a useful alternative overcome these obstacles. Through nationwide survey, we investigated possibility regional medical and public health management institutes which can be charge community-based Korea.The questionnaires on recognition current available resources health-related institutions were developed with reference evaluation tools York University International Council Cardiovascular Prevention Rehabilitation. The sent private institutions.In total, 2,267 1,186 institutions. There 241 242 responses from 173 179 institutions, respectively. And total 244 gathered 180 Although equipped necessary facilities exercise training, there few patient-monitoring systems during exercise. Most aware need CR, but burdened cost establishing personnel operate CR.Most medical, Korea are unprepared implementation programs. To encourage utilization such, should efforts establish national consensus.
