초록
Facial nerve palsy (FNP) can be a challenging medical condition, and bilateral FNP is an uncommon occurrence that potentially fatal warrants urgent intervention. We report rare case of developed after traumatic brain injury (TBI), which we approached through electromyographic study. A 23-year-old male patient had experienced fall-down from height 4 meters while on his military service. Computed tomography the facial bone showed acute TBI multiple skull base fractures. Limited expression dysarthria started at time cranioplasty, was about 3 months patient’s initial presentation, these symptoms gradually deteriorated over time. An electrodiagnostic study demonstrated incomplete lesions, were strongly indicated as lower motor neuron lesions. early diagnosis based should considered for proper treatment, achieve optimal functional recovery FNP.
